Christians in Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Agency tribal area rejoicing that two Christians have been granted the status of lungi (turban) holder. It is the first time this has happened in the area’s history. Christians look forward to the novelty of being treated as equals and to being able to have their personal documents attested without trouble by the Christian lungi holders, which should make it easier for them to own property and get government jobs. Two Sikhs have also been given the status of lungi holders will also represent their non-Muslims communities at the the official garages (assemblies of leaders) and to the regional governor, prime minister and president. Pray for Wilson Wazir and James Michael in their new roles, that the Lord will go before them and guide them in all they do.
