New Law

Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, issued by royal decree on 20 July a new law that bans “all from of discrimination based on religion, caste, creed, doctrine, race, colour or ethnic origin”. The law is partly aimed at countering militant Islam including taker, the practice of condemning other (more moderate) Muslims as apostates from Islam and therefore liable to death according to sharia. Pray that this new law will protect not only moderate Muslims but also the many expatriate Christians living in the UAE. Around 85% of whom about 1 in 10 are Christians.
