Syrian Christians killed in church mortar fire

A mortar attack that hit two churches on the outskirts of Damascus, capital of Syria, on Sunday 23 August, left nine people dead and a further 50 people injured. “Part of the war in Syria is to live under indiscriminate bombing,” said Archbishop Samir Nassar, “a kind of Russian roulette which is always unpredictable.”
